The coronavirus (COVID‐19) outbreak is a rapidly evolving situation that presents both health and business risks on a global level. During this unprecedented time, Maritime Program Group is monitoring developments and our management team is working diligently to continue to prepare business continuity plans to keep our workforce safe while continuing to deliver the service our brokers and clients expect and deserve as this situation unfolds.
The health and safety of our employees and brokers is our top priority. Therefore we have implemented policies including travel restrictions, health monitoring and preventative measures at work to help prevent the spread of illness. We strongly encourage all brokers and clients to adhere to the Centers for Disease Control’s recommendations as well. As COVID-19 continues to spread, we are prepared to implement the next phase of our business continuity plan if necessary, which is to have all MPG staff work from the safety of their homes in order to minimize the chance of mass infection. MPG’s IT department has been hard at work stocking up on supplies, testing equipment and making sure all staff has remote capabilities to continue with their daily duties. If and when MPG needs to implement our business continuity plan, there should be little to no disruption to our brokers. During these uncharted times, we ask that everyone remains calm, be patient and stay healthy! MPG is and will be here to assist our brokers as we always have. |
